Richmond park ride

04th July - Independence day Ride..!

Cycled close to 30 miles today, a fantastic day to cycle in London - clear blue skies, 25 degrees Celsius, cant ask for more.!

Route taken :
  • Marlybone high street - Richmond park (via kings road, Chelsea - Putney bridge - Upper Richmond road).
  • entered Richmond park through the East Sheen gate - cycled right through the park, through the lawn plantation across the hill, down to queens road and finally reached the Kingston gate at the other end.
  • the return was via the off road track - Tasmin trail- all the way up to Petersham gate - walked the star and Garter hill - cycled along the tasmin trail once again back to East sheen gate.
  • return via putney high street - putney bridge - kings road - Victoria - Sloane square - Hyde park - bond street - marlybone high street.
A great route for amateurs - as it gives a perfect combination of great roads, scenery, a bit off-roading and the breathtaking (literally..!) hills at Richmond park.

Partner in crime - Bijesh babu.

I plan to continue doing this on a weekly basis. If anyone else is interested, do ping me or send me a message through my contact me page, and we could ride for good health, reduce our carbon footprint and do our bit towards charity - at the Largest Royal parks in London.
